We meet weekly, every Thursday from 1900 (7:00 pm) to 2130 (9:30 pm), at the Montgomery County Public Safety Headquarters located at: 100 Edison Park Drive, Gaithersburg, MD 20878
Please email our Squadron Commander/Public Affairs Officer (see below for details) if you plan to come to our meeting so that we can wait for you at security. Prospective members are always welcome to attend!
For Prospective Cadets (Ages 12-18)
All prospective cadets enroll in the Squadron's Cadet Great Start Program following an Open House event that take place in the months of January, April, July and October. After 3 squadron meetings (which includes the open house), cadets will have the opportunity to complete/submit a cadet membership application. During the initial 3 weeks, prospective cadets are provided information that helps them make informed decisions on whether Civil Air Patrol is an organization they want to participate in. Parents/Guardians are encouraged to attend these squadron meetings in order to meet the cadet/adult leadership, ask any questions, and learn how they can support their cadet during the great start program.
Following graduation from the Cadet Great Start Program, newly promoted Cadet Airmen will be assigned to one of the 3 main cadet flights (Alpha, Bravo, Charlie)
For Prospective Senior Members (Ages 18+)
All prospective senior members will need to attend 3 squadron meetings (which includes the open house event) before being eligible to join. During this time, prospective members will get to know the senior membership, especially current members who hold similar interests to see if we are the right fit for you.
